Your Guide to Pumpkin Spice

by Zoe Aron

Autumn is upon us and you know what that means — the return of fall flavors, including the infamous infusion of pumpkin into all our favorite treats. You may love your Starbucks but why not switch it up with some of these more interesting twists on the seasonal tastes.

Dancing Goats
For those of you looking for something other than just pumpkin, step into Dancing Goats Coffee Bar for their signature fall drink, the Cappuccino Caliente. Made with espresso, chocolate, cinnamon and cayenne, the spices in this decadent coffee are reminiscent of fall without going over the top.

Corso Coffee
With its only locations being in New York and Buckhead, Atlanta is lucky to be a home to this Italian-inspired cafe. Have a taste of their fall-infused alcoholic coffee drinks, including a Dark and Stormy (made of frangelico, kahlua, shot of espresso, vanilla and garnished with chocolate shavings) or a Snow Cap (hot chocolate infused with honey jack).

3035 Peachtree Rd.

Wrecking Bar Brewpub
Nothing completes a fall evening in Atlanta better than drinking a beer outside with some friends while cherishing the city skyline. At Wrecking Bar Brewpub, you can sip on their
Wreck-O-Lantern Belgian Pumpkin Ale and enjoy the subtle tastes of pumpkin pie thanks to 50 pounds of roasted pie pumpkins in the mash.

Ali's Cookies
With cookie flavors as wild as Georgia Peach, Pink Lemonade and Apple Pie, it’s no surprise that Ali’s Cookies is your go-to spot for Atlanta’s best Pumpkin Spice cookie this fall. Since it’s opening in 1981, Ali’s are always baked fresh with no preservatives and hand scooped, guaranteeing blissful pumpkin-y satisfaction.
"The Pumpkin Spice is a seasonal cookie that customers wait for. A few years ago we made a batch and accidentallydoubled one of the ingredients. The cookie ended up being even better, so we kept it that way, and changed the recipe!" says Jeff Rosengarten.
