So Worth Loving is many things to Eryn Eddy Erickson: her business, her creative outlet and her personal mantra. But the empowering force of those three little worlds holds the most significance. “If you live your life through the lens of understanding you are worthy of love, it’s all different,” she shares.
The casual act of spray painting the phrase on t-shirts as fan merchandise for her former singer/songwriter ventures has manifested itself into a public message — and a major retail business. “I was just thankful people wanted to listen to my music,” says Erickson, “so I wanted to give them something personal.” With the phrase itself, and others like “Bad vibes can’t hold me down,” printed on tees, keychains, beanies and more, an incredible community of individuals (51.9k Instagram followers strong) has been promoting this idea of self-worth through the lifestyle brand and its online offerings since 2011. Earlier this year Erickson and her team opened up their first physical retail space in East Atlanta Village, where she’s selling goods from like-minded brands such as TOMS and Sseko Designs, in addition to her own. And though Erickson initially “did not envision owning a clothing company,” this musician-turned-merchandise-maverick is quickly becoming a fixture on the Southern fashion scene.
